Currently, due to the limited amount of electricity available in the metropolitan area, the price of data center sites has been soaring in areas where the use of substations has reached saturation since last year.
According to KEPCO (hereinafter referred to as KEPCO), electricity supply has been delayed in some areas of Gyeonggi-do, including Paju, Suwon, and Uijeongbu, as applications for electricity use in large data centers have been intensively received since 2021.

As the demand for development of data centers continues to increase in the future, competition over land with secured electricity is expected to intensify.
