Microsoft expands its data center in Japan to become a regional hub for AI businesses 2024.01.18

NHK and Kyodo News announced on the 27th that Microsoft (MS) announced on the 27th that it will expand its data center in Japan and use it as a base for generative artificial intelligence (AI) business. 
This is the third data center establishment after the U.S. and Europe, and the first in Asia.
Experts in the field interpret that Microsoft has chosen Japan as a bridgehead to enter the Asian market in consideration of regional and technical characteristics.
