Lyou Ki-hoon, CEO of Deus Systems, attended a construction forum held by DealSite at Conrad Hotel in Yeouido, Seoul on May 26 under the theme of "The Current Status and Prospect of the Blue Ocean Data Center Market" and announced the "Change Trend of the Best Location of Data Center."
He said, "The data center project in the Seoul metropolitan area is virtually impossible to carry out due to the regulations on the impact assessment of the power system under the Special Act on Distributed Energy.
Overcrowding of data centers, which are power-guzzling facilities, is a factor that hinders sustainability and balanced regional development, and the perception may deteriorate."
He also said, "Urban data centers are increasingly difficult, and the 'decentralization' of data centers will accelerate."
